Twitter Chairman Jack Dorsey hasbeen sharing some new pictures on his stream and they show filtering without the apparent use of a third party platform. In addition, Twitter customers that use Instagram have noticed that pictures taken using that photo-filter app are no longer posting correctly to Twitter. It is not a bug. Since Instagram is now part of Facebook, it recentlydeactivated the “cards” feature enabling clean viewing of pictures in Twitter. Also Twitter disabled the “find my Twitter friends” feature on Instagram. So Twitter will be introducing its own filter features to its native apps. That would eliminate the need for a third party application. We don’t know how many filters there will ultimately be. Jack’s pictures have only shown black and white images. During the Thanksgiving holiday, Instagram reportedly added more than 200 photos every second, over 14 million for the day overall. So timing during the holidays means alot for Twitter
